Android
just got a new feature!!: it lets you discover new apps based on your location.
When you’re inline at the pharmacy, for example, your phone might suggest you
download their app to get a coupon. I love apps—and locations!
Google
calls the feature “nearby” So if you’re at the airport waiting for your flight
you might get a
notification suggesting you download the United Airlines app, or if you’re at CVS they might recommend you use their app to print photos directly from your phone.

Facebook now
lets you respond to a post with a video: Rather than typing, or using emoji, or
posting an image, you can now record yourself shouting into the void when you
reply to something you see on Facebook. Or whispering sweet nothings, whatever
floats your boat.
Avast is dipping their toes into softwares unrelated to its usual security and antivirus suite: They
gave a new app for iOS called photo space that helps you manage storage on your
phone by migrating full-resolution images to the cloud host of your choice.
