Many people hate garlic and would not like to handle and
even taste it because of its offensive smell. Even at some point, after you
have finished eating it and you speak to another person, the breath from your
mouth releases an offensive odor that the person you are speaking to steps
away from you, some times, its really embarrassing.
although, some people allow the odor to fade away before
they can step outside their house.but not to worry I have some tips that can
help reduce or eradicate the offensive smell of garlic
1.do not chew garlic
in the mouth, always combine it with other vegetables to prepare stew or soup.
Taking it in stew or soup reduces a bit of its strong odor. Garlic can be
added to salads with tomato. Tomato is capable of reducing garlic and onion odors.
2.you can put a slice of tomato in the mouth after eating
food prepared with garlic. Tomato is capable of reducing odors of both garlic
and onions. It is advisable for cooks to chop garlic and onions before chopping
tomatoes to free fingers from offensive odors.
3.you can also rinse your mouth with lemon juice or paste to
guarantee sweetness of breath after using
garlic.( sip little of lemon juice through the throat into the stomach
after garlic meals).
4.parsley leaf too reduces garlic odor, as such I recommend
parsley leaves in garlic meals.
5.adding charcoal powder to your toothpaste or washing the
mouth with charcoal powder can easily remove that offensive smell of garlic and
onions.(swallow little of it).
CAUTION:
1.garlic in pills, tablets, capsules and powder forms in
shops cannot be equaled to raw garlic sold in the markets as fresh vegetables.
Garlic prepared in these forms, sometimes may not smell as the raw type.
2.heat destroys the valuable nutrients in garlic.do not cook
with the soup or stew for too long on fire.well ground or chopped garlic can be
added to stew or soup when it is done.
